OperaCamion began in 2016, bringing opera out of the theatre and into Rome’s neighbourhoods. Piazza Tarantelli provides the open-air setting between Torrino and Decima, with the travelling stage assembled directly in the public square.

The 2026 production brings the theatre’s orchestra and singers together with local choirs. For one evening the everyday piazza becomes a free neighbourhood auditorium; visitors are asked to bring a chair and follow the organiser’s precise gathering instructions.
