OperaCamion began in 2016, bringing opera out of the theatre and into Rome’s neighbourhoods. Piazza Jan Palach lies in the Villaggio Olimpico, the modern district developed around Rome’s 1960 Olympic Games and close to the city’s major arts and sports venues.

The 2026 travelling production places singers, orchestra and local choirs on a temporary open-air stage. With visitors bringing their own chairs, the square becomes a free neighbourhood auditorium for one evening.
