OperaCamion began in 2016, taking opera beyond the theatre and into Rome’s neighbourhoods. At the Mercato di Via Borgo Ticino in Casalotti, the travelling stage is set up in the market car park; that practical detail belongs to the directions rather than the shortened venue name.

The 2026 production brings the theatre’s orchestra, singers and local choirs into a familiar public space. Temporary staging turns the open paved area into an evening auditorium, with the market and surrounding residential streets providing the local frame.
