THE PLACE & THE MUSIC

A place to pause.

The American Church’s congregation traces its history to the nineteenth century. Its present Gothic-inspired church on the quai d’Orsay opened in 1931, providing an English-speaking home beside the Seine in the seventh arrondissement. Its tower rises close to the Pont des Invalides, between the Eiffel Tower and the Esplanade des Invalides.

A long nave, stained glass and organ support a musical life that reaches beyond worship through concerts, recitals and collaborations. The Atelier Concerts series gives visiting and Paris-based musicians a public platform in the sanctuary.

Free concerts at different times of day; see each individually checked listing.
