THE PLACE & THE MUSIC

A place to pause.

All Saints stands beside Kingston’s ancient market place, on a site linked with the town’s Saxon royal history and the coronation tradition of early English kings. The present church began in the twelfth century—its precise foundation date is disputed—and grew through later medieval additions.

Flint walls, stone tracery and a square brick tower reveal those changing periods. Restorations have preserved memorials and architectural fragments from across the church’s long life. Today it remains a living parish church and a welcoming setting for organ and lunchtime music at the heart of Kingston.
